Up close and personal with Carlos Celdran

 photo Carlos-Celdran4.jpgWhen I got an email invite to be with Carlos P. Celdran over dinner, I blurted, O. My. God. My wishes to St. Expedite just got granted. Joining Carlos Celdran in one of his elaborate Intramuros tour has always been in my bucket list, but for some reasons it has never been ticked until Feb 6, Thursday.

But before going to the details of why he’s in the city, I just would like to share how it’s like meeting one of the most interesting men this country ever has. Indeed, he’s exactly what I expected him to be, eccentrically bubbly, minus the black top hat at that night. But he was on his black ‘Damaso’ shirt which obviously that print has what made him so popular for.

FIRE DANCERS IN DAVAO

When we went to see what’s new for this year’s Christmas Bazaar at Davao Convention Center, we were greeted by fire dancers at the venue lobby, having the kids around, they wouldn’t let this commotion pass, so we stayed and watched.

They literally played with fire, but thing with having children around I also got lots of explaining to do, ‘kids, don’t do this at home, only guys with thorough practice can do this,’

I love this lady, how can someone throwing up fire still maintain gracefulness in her moves – awesome performance;

This lady I think needs to sweat-up a lot more, more practice, more practice – and you’re perfect.

My cousin watching with us was telling me so much about this guy, sorry mate, maybe we’re just used to seeing male fire dancers in six-pack abs, or maybe it’s just the venue – whatever. The reflection coming from the fire would really define one’s body tone and I think this guy need lots of toning to do, but performance wise – he’s good.

Sharing also a short video of their stint; don’t ask me what’s this group called and where to contact them, I have no idea.

I can sleep where you will go
